GT Project
On the iMac:
1. Upload your pictures here.
On the MacBook:
2. Plug in microphone
3. Go to System Preferences >Sound > Input, select the microphone and set the input volume fairly high.
4. Go to GT Project Pictures and add image to iPhoto Library
5. Add the pictures to iMovie.
6. Set the clips to 60 seconds.
7. Record your narration for your clips.
8. Adjust the timing of the clip to match the narration.

- After reading the story, you will be guided through the elements of the story from setting to resolution. Complete all questions.
- Take the quiz at the end. Wait for Mrs. Beaulieu to get your test score before exiting from the program.
- If you finish the activity and still have time, you may go to "Reading Roadrunners" and blog one of your literature responses from your journal.

Using Coming to America by Betsy Maestro, students will create a Venn Diagram on Keynotes comparing/contrasting how immigration would make a person feel happy, sad or both.
examples:
1. Same: when you leave your country, you might be happy (because you're going to a new beginning) and sad (because you're leaving friends and maybe family behind), so "leaving your country" would be in the same column.
